St. Joseph the Worker is happy to announce that Chloe Orecchio is the Prudential Spirit of Community WV Middle School Award winner for the creation of Chloe’s Campus Cleanup. Chloe, along with 101 other high school and middle school students from each of the 50 states, will receive $1,000, a silver medal, and an all expense paid trip to Washington D.C. where they will be honored beginning May 4-7, 2019. If I Were Mayor” Essay Contest Winners


Congratulations to Carmela and Nic for winning the “If I Were Mayor” essay contest hosted by the WV Municipal  League. There were five winners out of 30 schools and 400 essays. St Joe’s was the only school in Hancock County to win and the only school in the state to have two winners. We are so proud of these students and school. Go Spartans!

Theo ‘Blood Shark’ Mihellis on the set of Italian Guinness World Record Show


Theo 'Blood Shark' Mihellis travels to Rome, Italy on the set of La Notte Dei Record (Italian Guinness World Record Show) attempting to break a Guinness World Record in Billiards.  The Highest Jump Pot of a Billiard Ball is a record that was previously held by Theo at 16 1/8 inches.  He attempts to beat his current record at a height of 20 inches.  Theo had only 3 attempts to pot the ball. https://www.facebook.com/237667183463718/posts/372027056694396/

UPDATE! Eighth Grader Theo Mihellis Beat a Guinness World Record in a Billiard Trick Shot!


Theo attempted the highest jump pot of a Billiard Ball on Tuesday July 24, 2018 at Breakers Pool Hall, the record set by Florian Kohler of Las Vegas was 34cm or 13.3 inches. Theo beat Florian’s record by 3 inches. Theo Mihellis is the New Guinness World Record holder for the highest jump pot of a billiard ball in the corner pocket at 16.5 inches!! Congratulations Theo!
